POSITION:           Sales  & Product Consultant  (New & Pre-Owned)

REPORTS TO:     New & Pre-Owned Sales Managers

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for generating new & pre-owned vehicle sales while maintaining outstanding customer service, as well as providing an exceptional experience to all prospects and customers.  Team member will also be responsible for supporting and completing tasks assigned by sales manager.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Create the best and most memorable experience possible for customers during their car buying process

·         Carry out all the formalities related to the sale of a vehicle while working with sales managers to achieve highest possible amount gross profit and customer satisfaction.

·         Address questions, issues, and needs of clients about the vehicles the customer is interested in

·         Talk with prospects and determine what type of vehicle customers are looking for, as well as which particular features they are looking for. Demonstrates advantages and characteristics of suitable for customers' needs.

·         Demonstrating/ and conducting test drive of vehicles and suggesting the customers on the methods necessary for using the products and making the buying procedures easy as possible.

·         •Have a clear understanding and vast knowledge of manufactures current, past, and future incentives/programs

·         Have a working knowledge of manufactures programs and dealerships current promotions. This includes current pricing, any special product considerations.

·         Conduct off- site visiting or meeting with potential and existing customers when required regarding the purchase or sale of a vehicle. i.e., off- site test drives, garage door programing, phone Bluetooth
 Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment. This includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.

·         Arranging entire test drive process for the buyer

·         Conduct a thorough delivery of new and pre-owned vehicles that meets the manufactures and dealerships standards and delivery requirements

·         Have vast product knowledge of new and pre-owned inventory, warranty, pre-paid maintenance, and other products dealership offers

·         Participate in training directives from the manufacture or dealership on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis

·         Field and follow up daily on all sales internet leads that are received though  CRM software tool, this includes maintaining  detailed records and notes regarding current status of the deal, and customers interest in purchasing a new vehicle

·         Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.

·         Assist in maintaining a luxurious appearance of new and pre-owned lot. This includes changes of the lot at the direction of dealership management.  In addition to snow removal during the winter season.

·          Assist in processing new inventory received from factory, dealer trades, and trades in

·         Properly prepare and execute: purchase paperwork, finance paperwork, and any other dealership paperwork that is required to be filled out to complete a sale or trade.

·         Assist in maintaining and keeping accurate and  detailed records of sales, and customer information 

·         Answer all incoming sales related calls with a professional manner

·         Assist in maintaining organization and cleanliness of show room and key boards/ product broachers ect.

·         Follow dealership and manufactures standards for proper delivery of vehicles. This includes following up with customers post purchase for questions regarding satisfaction,

·         Ensure that you are meeting LMC and manufactures requirements for post-sale CSI surveys

·         Build good rapport with potential, future, and existing customers to increase returning and referral business

Support and assist in any other tasks as assigned by management.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·         Must be articulate, enthusiastic, and a self-motivated team player and maintain a positive attitude

·         Must be able to work Saturdays

·         Must have superior communication skills (both written and verbal)

·         Adhere to and utilize company guidelines and policies  and maintain professional  appearance at all times

·         Solutions- and detail-oriented

·         Be able to withstand physical demands of the job

·         Must have valid driver s license

·         Operate basic computer applications such as word processing; web based sites, and contact management databases.

·         Assist/attend in planning dealership and manufactures events inside and outside of the dealership

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

·         Experience working in a luxury sales or customer service environment  auto dealership preferred but not required

·         Should  have1 - 2 years of experience  in sales or customer service roll

·         Operate basic computer applications such as word processing; web based sites, and contact management databases.

·         General understanding of automotive industry wholesale/retail processes.

·         Ability to use systems related to processes and procedures to perform and/or document modifications.

·         Departmental practices/procedures and how they apply to customers

·         Interdepartmental relationships and their effect on company, departmental and individual goals

·         Software that is applicable to the job/ability to use Dealer Information Systems
