When Volvo announced their first fully electric vehicle, the XC40 Recharge generated a lot of attention and acclaim almost immediately. Many, including us here at Leikin Volvo Cars Cleveland, were impressed by the decision to go all-in on a fully electric vehicle - and that was before we saw the Recharge's performance specifications and standard features.

While we always expect the best from the consistently impressive manufacturers at Volvo, their electric and hybrid options prove that they're at the top of the game. If you've been hesitant to consider whether an electric or hybrid vehicle is the right choice for you, let us talk a bit about Volvo's offered vehicles.

Volvo XC40 Recharge

The Recharge is outfitted with a fully electric powertrain capable of offering a range of up to 200 miles on a single charge. It is equipped to be hooked up to fast-charging stations, so long trips should be much more manageable than you might expect with a fully electric vehicle. With the best available charging cable, the charge time to fully regain your battery will sit at around 5.5 hours - much less than a full night's sleep!

Hybrid Options

Many of the currently available Volvo models are equipped to handle plug-in hybridization. Below, we'll list which models can become hybrid vehicles and what performance changes you can expect out of this adjustment.

Volvo S60

The S60 features hybrid, plug-in options for its powertrain.
